Shadow @ Coresi Mall Brasov

This spring  Brasov called us again, for a nice project @ the newest mall in the city, Coresi Mall. The architect, Iulian Calen designed a green area with a bicycle parking place and a skate park, and a wood structure, that we had to colour and construct our shadow on.

When we started there were no people coming to sit on the grass, but, as we built our shadow and layers, people started coming and relaxing there, looking at the mountains and having lunch.

We are not fans of shopping resorts, in general,  but we do like this spot in the city, a free green spot with a twist. And it’s nice to see that a Mall tries to give something back to the city.

And we’ll be back in august for Bohemian Square, the urban culture festival taking place in the center of the city!

Thanks to our brave helpers from Alpine Zone and collaborators from Alpinisha!

Dracula Film Festival

Every project is special to us, but when it came to a Horror and Fantasy Festival held in our beloved Brasov, when eight international shorts and seven Romanian shorts ran together, when a new version on Dracula’s story was launched, when all these happen, things seem to be even more interesting.

As you probably figured out, we’ve been to Brasov for the second edition of Dracula Film: Horror and Fantasy Festival and we completed the fantasy atmosphere with a few scenic accents and details. Therefore we formed an army of bats and spiders with their webs and we conquered the Dramatical Theatre (Sica Alexandrescu) where the grand opening of the festival took place.
We loved everything: the atmosphere, the people and enjoyed Gary Shore’s first feature movie, Dracula Untold, very inspiring for our little bottles with semi-dry Dracula’s blood.

On this occasion we want to give our special thanks to the organizers, to the sponsors and to all the team of volunteers that made everything possible.
Also many thanks to our special collaborator from Brasov: Horea.

Till next time, enjoy some pictures!

Bohemian Square ~ august in Brasov ~

When the girls from Asociatia Bohemian told us they would like to organise the second edition of Festivalul de cultura urbana Bohemian Square, wanting it to be bigger and with new sections we thought it could be a challenge for us and we didn’t hesitate to integrate this nice project among our summer challenges.

We chose one of the squares from the middle of Brasov’s old center as our playground and after a few months of creating and innovating , there’s the beautiful project: We’ve created an urban route, linking two important points of the city Piata Sfatului and Piata Enescu through a series of interventions designed to transform some urban spaces rarely used in public spaces with socio-cultural value.

Old City, New architecture – tensile design, defining the market, creating an intimate space, a living market, not just a headroom. We upholstered the pavement with grass and created The Bohemian Lounge with pieces of furniture made of reused pallets and with the famous La Obiect poufs.

The comfy spot invited people to stop by the outdoor library opened during the festival. For three days there was music, theatre and lots of workshops taking place on the streets of Brasov. It was just PERFECT!

We would like to thank to Gazonul, Mobilier din paletiHumanitas libraries and Okian for the involvement and full support! Also thank you Alpinisha team for giving us your invaluable aid in the achievement of all items!

Many special thanks to Asociatia Bohemian for inviting us and making us part of their wonderful story!

Last, but not least a big Thanks to the volunteers for their involvement!
